Capturing elopements for the truly adventurous

in the heart of Colorado

You, your partner, and the mountains.

a wedding day you're excited to plan. An experience you'll never forget.

You and your partner are setting off on the greatest adventure of your lives. Give it the once-in-a-lifetime celebration it deserves.

Your wedding day deserves so much more than ten minute vows and a few staged photos. You deserve the kind of day that comes back to you every time you visit Colorado or walk down a trail. You deserve the kind of photos that take you back to the moment every time you look at them, even years later.  Eloping doesn't necessarily mean you have to keep things small and understated. It just means every moment of the day is intentionally and completely centered on the two of you. I help couples plan epic, unforgettable adventures featuring Colorado's iconic landscapes.

kind words from my favorite elopement of 2025:

Couple walking hand in hand through vibrant mountain wildflower meadow in summer wedding attire.

"We’re so happy we had Ellie capture our elopement day out in nature on a beautiful mountain pass! It just felt easy and natural having her there. She made the morning so relaxed and fun, and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful, exactly how we will remember it. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to document our wedding day!"

don't know where to start?

That's okay!

Most couples I've worked with have never hiked in wedding clothes or picked a ceremony location. Some have never been to the mountains. Some have never even been to Colorado!

You don't have to be a hardcore hiker or backpacker to have an adventure elopement. Technically, you don't even need to have hiking experience.

That's where I come in!

Whatever adventure you dream of for your big day, I'll help you plan it and guide you through it in a way that's safe, within your ability, and respectful to the beautiful environment around us.

more than just a photographer

The simple truth is that I am in love with the mountains.  I want to share that sense of wonder with people, whether they've been been to Colorado or not. More than anything, I love helping couples incorporate the natural beauty around us into their wedding day.

First and foremost I am a hiker. With years of hands-on experience navigating trails and varied conditions, I’m here to guide you so you have the confidence to enjoy every step of the journey.

FAQ

can you help us find a location?

Here's my secret advantage: If you want to elope in the mountains, I'm already up here! I've spent years exploring the state of Colorado and I'm familiar with all of the mountain towns. Wherever you want to say your vows, I've got an amazing spot for you!

How long does it take to receive the final photos?

I promise to deliver 20 sneak peak photos within 48 hours so you have something to share. The rest follow within 6-12 weeks depending on your package. I do NOT use AI to batch cull, sort, and edit your photos. I do all my editing by hand, so it might take a little longer to get back to you.

are travel expenses included in your packages?

Yes, always! Whether you're getting married in Colorado or somewhere else, travel expenses will always be included in the price listed for that package.

We're awkward! How do we pose?

I am absolutely prepared to guide you through your photos in a way that feels natural. For the best experience, I recommend filling the day with activities. This allows those magical candid moments to happen without feeling forced.

Can we bring our dogs?

Yes, yes, yes! I adore dogs, and as long as the hike or activity is pet friendly, I have absolutely no issue with them coming along. The only caveat is, if you want them to sign your marriage license, then your license CANNOT come from a Denver or Colorado Springs county clerk.

Do we have to hike?

Nope! That may be my specialty, but there are just as many places to elope that don't require a strenuous hike. We'll fill your day with other activities more suited to you!
